A message from our founder

“At CAMX Power, our mission is rooted in the belief that science and engineering, applied with persistence and vision, can reshape industries and improve lives.

I’ve had the privilege of working across many worlds — as an academic, an inventor, an entrepreneur, and a technologist. After teaching at institutions like MIT and Harvard, I founded Kenan Systems to test real-world applications of theoretical ideas. That company grew to over 1,000 people worldwide and was ultimately acquired by Lucent Technologies, where I served as a Bell Labs VP.

In 2002, I founded TIAX by acquiring the lab-based Technology & Innovation unit of Arthur D. Little — an institution whose legacy of independent, applied R&D I deeply admired. And in 2014, CAMX Power was spun out of TIAX to focus on advanced lithium-ion technologies, including the cathode materials now used by global leaders in electric mobility.

Our team combines world-class science with pilot-scale manufacturing and a sharp focus on real-world impact. We don’t just innovate; we implement.

I’m very proud of the technologies we’ve developed, the partners we’ve worked with, and the values we’ve upheld. But I’m even more excited about what comes next — as CAMX continues to push boundaries in energy storage, instrumentation, and materials.
